Consulting

Research experience, put to work.

For research teams, training programs, and organizations doing psychedelic work carefully.

I bring three vantage points to a project: a decade on psychedelic research teams, hands-on work as a study therapist in two psilocybin trials, and years in clinical practice. That combination is useful when the questions are about what happens in the room and how to study it well.

What I help with

Trial design and protocol development. Preparation and integration structure, facilitator roles and supervision, measure selection, and the extrapharmacological details (setting, music, support) that shape outcomes and are often underspecified in protocols. Informed by protocol work on the veterans PTSD and lung cancer trials.

Music for psychedelic-assisted therapy. Designing and validating session playlists for clinical trials, using the theory-driven approach and metrics I developed and published for a psilocybin trial.

Inclusive and community-engaged research. Recruitment, measures, and community partnership for LGBTQIA+, gender-expansive, and Spanish-speaking participants. Includes Spanish translation and validation of measures, and review of study materials for affirming language.

Facilitator training and curriculum. Teaching and curriculum input for psilocybin-assisted therapy trainings, clinical teams, and graduate programs. I've co-facilitated psilocybin therapy trainings since 2020 and lecture in the MIND Foundation's APT program.

Ethics, power, and harm reduction. Advising programs and organizations on consent, power dynamics, safety, and harm reduction in psychedelic care, including how these play out for queer, trans, and other marginalized participants.

Speaking. Keynotes, lectures, panels, and workshops. See speaking and teaching for topics and past talks.

How it works

We start with a short call about what you're working on and where you're stuck. If it's a fit, I'll send a written scope and quote. Engagements range from a single advisory session to ongoing work across a study or program.

Consulting and training are priced per engagement. Tell me what you have in mind and I'll send a quote.
